Rana Sanga Controversy: Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Ramji Lal Suman is once again embroiled in controversy. Not only this, the Karni Sena announced a reward against Suman, saying that whoever blackens his face and hits him with shoes will be given a reward of Rs 5 lakh.

This entire controversy started in the Rajya Sabha on March 21, when Samajwadi Party MP Ramji Lal Suman called Rana Sanga a 'traitor'. After his statement, strong opposition started in many states including Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. At the same time, the police said that during the protest, the members of the Karni Sena only burnt an effigy, but there was no vandalism. Ramji Lal Suman's clarification

Clarifying his statement given in the Rajya Sabha, Ramji Lal Suman said, "Babar came to India on the invitation of Rana Sanga. This is a historical fact. I did not intend to hurt anyone's sentiments." He further said that there are always different views about history and his statement is being misinterpreted.

Akhilesh Yadav's reaction

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav also reacted to the controversy and said, "Ramji Lal Suman said this because everyone is turning the pages of history. When BJP leaders want to debate about Aurangzeb, Ramji Lal Suman also put forward a fact recorded in the pages of history."
