New Delhi: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has reached Delhi, where he will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During this, issues like Maratha reservation and financial assistance for cyclone relief measures are to be discussed between the two leaders. Along with Uddhav, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar will also meet PM Modi today.Discussion on Maratha ReservationMaratha reservation will be discussed in the meeting with the Prime Minister. The Supreme Court had recently struck down the Reservation Act of 2018 in Maharashtra to provide reservation to the Maratha community in jobs and education.Apart from this, issues like financial assistance for cyclone Toute relief measures, GST refund, OBC reservation can also be discussed with the Prime Minister. In this meeting, Ashok Chavan will also be present along with the Chief Minister who heads the cabinet sub-committee on Maratha reservation.First meeting with PawarMeanwhile, on Tuesday morning, before leaving for Delhi, CM Thackeray met NCP chief Sharad Pawar. The two leaders also met on Monday evening. Pawar has had three meetings with Thackeray in the last fortnight.
