Republic Day 2025: On the occasion of the 76th Republic Day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hoisted the national flag at his official residence in Lucknow. On this occasion, he extended his heartfelt Republic Day greetings to the people of the state and highlighted the significance of India's Constitution.

In his address, the Chief Minister said that on this day, India began its journey towards becoming a sovereign, prosperous, and democratic republic by adopting the Constitution. He mentioned the country's independence on August 15, 1947, and the establishment of the Constituent Assembly under the leadership of Dr. Rajendra Prasad. He especially remembered the role of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, who drafted the Constitution and presented it before the Constituent Assembly on November 26, 1949. Subsequently, on January 26, 1950, the country succeeded in implementing the Constitution.

CM Yogi said that India's Constitution inspires us to be united with justice, equality, and fraternity. He stated, "The Constitution has played a significant role in keeping India united, both in favorable and adverse circumstances."
