Republic Day Parade: Today India is celebrating its 76th Republic Day, which symbolizes the adoption of the Constitution of the country and the establishment of democratic values. This historic day is being celebrated with grand ceremonies and cultural presentations on the Kartavya Path in the capital Delhi.Tricolor and parade on the Kartavya PathAt 10:30 am, President Draupadi Murmu hoisted the national flag on the Kartavya Path. With this, the 90-minute grand parade began. This year, President of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto attended the ceremony as the chief guest. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi were also present on this historic occasion.Display of cultural heritage and developmentThe parade began with 300 artists from across the country playing the tune of "Saare Jahan Se Achcha" on traditional musical instruments. After this, more than 5,000 artists demonstrated India's cultural heritage and development journey. The theme of this year's Republic Day parade has been kept as "Golden India - Heritage and Development".31 tableaux participated in the parade, which included tableaux from 16 states and union territories as well as 15 ministries of the central government. The highlight of the parade was the fly-past of the Indian Air Force, in which various aircraft performed amazing stunts.Presence of special guestsThis year 10,000 special guests were invited to watch the parade, including Paralympic players, handloom artisans, wildlife conservation workers and sarpanches who have contributed to rural development.Enthusiasm across the countryThe celebration of Republic Day was not limited to Delhi only. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma hoisted the national flag in Udaipur. At the same time, local people were seen immersed in celebration at Lal Chowk in Srinagar. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan hoisted the flag in Delhi.Prime Minister's messagePrime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the countrymen on the occasion of Republic Day. He said, "Today we are celebrating the 75th anniversary of our glorious republic. This day is an opportunity to preserve the values of the Constitution and strengthen our efforts to build a strong India."Importance of the Parade on the Path of DutyThe Parade on the Path of Duty showcases the military strength and cultural diversity of the country. In this year's parade, the soldiers of the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force demonstrated their strength and valor.
