Show postponed after protests by right-wing organizations

According to reports, a few days ago a right-wing organization had claimed that Vir Das's show hurts Hindu sentiments and presents a wrong image of India. Only after this the show has been postponed. The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has also lodged a complaint in this matter at the Vylikaval police station. Let us tell you that Vir Das was going to show today at Choudiyah Memorial Hall in Maleshwaram.

Last year, there was a protest against Veer about this matter.

Comedian Vir Das had landed in controversies last year regarding one of his shows. He did a show in America in which he presented a monologue named 'Two Indians'. There was a lot of controversy about this show. The right-wing organization has said in its complaint that it is not right to have a show of such a controversial person in a sensitive city like Bangalore.

State spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Mr. Mohan Gowda, demanded cancellation of the show. Gowda said, “When Karnataka is already facing law and order problems due to communal incidents, then such events which can disturb the law and order should not be allowed. We demand that this program should be canceled immediately.”
