Batting first after losing the toss, Punjab Kings gave a target of 196 runs. In response, the Delhi team lost 4 wickets and scored 198 runs to win the match. Dhawan made his 43rd fifty in the IPL. Punjab Kings had a great start. There was a 122-run opening partnership between Lokesh Rahul and Mayank Agarwal.
