New Delhi: During the Coronavirus pandemic, the Kejriwal government of Delhi has given huge relief to thousands of laborers and needy sections who are suffering from crisis. The government has issued an order to increase the dearness allowance of unskilled, semi-skilled and other workers of Delhi. This order will be deemed to be effective from 1st April.Clerk-Supervisors will also get benefitsDelhi Deputy CM and Labor Minister Manish Sisodia said that an order has been issued to increase dearness allowance of all unskilled, semi-skilled and other workers. Along with this, the Deputy Chief Minister has also directed everyone to ensure payment with the increased rate. He said that the employees of clerical and supervisory class would also get its benefit.Deputy CM (Manish Sisodia) said that keeping in mind the interests of the poor and working class, this big step has been taken. The dearness allowance of such workers in the unorganized sector cannot be withheld, who generally get only the minimum wage. To give benefit to such laborers, the Delhi government has announced a new minimum wage by adding dearness allowance.Now this is the new minimum wageHe said that after this announcement, the monthly salary of unskilled laborers has been increased from Rs.15492 to Rs.15908, the monthly salary of semi-skilled workers has been increased from Rs.17,7069 to Rs.17537 and that of skilled workers from Rs.18,797 to Rs.19291. Apart from these, the rate of minimum wage for supervisor and clerical employees has also been increased.The monthly salary of such non-matriculated employees has been increased from Rs. 17069 to Rs. 17537, for matriculation but non-graduate employees from Rs. 18797 to Rs. 19291 and for workers with graduate and above educational qualifications from Rs. 20430 to Rs. 20976. Deputy CM Manish Sisodia claimed that the minimum wage paid to laborers in Delhi is the highest as compared to any other state in the country. This announcement will give a lot of relief to the working class facing the double whammy of Corona and inflation.
