Delhi government has capped the maximum prices that private ambulance services can charge. "It has come to notice that some private ambulance drivers/ service providers are charging exorbitant rate(s) in Delhi during the COVID-19 pandemic," an official order read. "Strict actions will be taken against those who violate the order," tweeted Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.

New Delhi: The Delhi government today capped the maximum prices that private ambulance services can charge in the National Capital. Now, Patient Transport Ambulance can charge Rs 1500 for the first ten kilometers and after that Rs 100 per kilometer. 

For Basic Life Support Ambulance, Rs 2000 can be charged for the first ten kilometers and Rs 100 per beyond kilometer. Advanced Life Support Ambulance can charge Rs 4000 for the first ten kilometers and Rs 100 per kilometer beyond the first ten kilometers. The decision has been taken amid reports that private ambulance services are charging illegitimately in the city. In a tweet, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, strict actions will be taken against those who violate this order.
