Delhi AQI Level: Winter has knocked across the country. The effect of snowfall in the hilly areas is now visible in the plains as well. A drop in temperature has been recorded in many states including the national capital Delhi. Cold and fog are being felt in the morning and night, while the weather is still slightly normal during the day.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that in the next few days, the temperature will drop further in major states of North India like Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Air pollution also remains a major challenge in the national capital Delhi, which may increase further during the winter season.

Today, on November 25, the maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to be 28 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is 12 degrees Celsius. There is also a possibility of light fog in the morning and evening. According to the Meteorological Department, till November 30, the day temperature may remain between 20-25 degrees Celsius and the night temperature may remain between 5-10 degrees Celsius.

However, there has been a slight decrease in the level of pollution, which has brought relief to the people. According to the data of the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) has been recorded at 278 today, which shows improvement compared to earlier. However, in many areas of the city, the AQI is above 300, which falls in the 'very poor' category.

Cold will increase in North India

The Meteorological Department said that snowfall has started in the higher areas of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand. In the coming days, due to intensification of snowfall in these areas, the temperature in the plains may fall further. Dense fog is likely in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana.

Possibility of rain in South and Northeast states

Northeastern states like Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram may receive light to moderate rain. Along with this, rain has also been predicted in Kerala, Lakshadweep and South Assam of South India.

Beware of increasing cold

As the winter increases, there is a need to wear warm clothes to protect against cold and be careful while going out of the house. Be cautious while driving to avoid fog, especially while traveling in the morning and night.
