Jammu-Kashmir News: Two army personnel were martyred in an encounter with terrorists in Chatru area of ​​​​Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday (September 13). Two other soldiers have been seriously injured in this conflict, whose treatment is going on. The martyred soldiers have been identified as Naib Subedar Vipin Kumar and Sepoy Arvind Singh of White Knight Corps.

The security forces have surrounded 3-4 terrorists hiding in the forests during the encounter. According to officials, the security forces had received intelligence about the presence of three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists in Naidgham village, based on which a search operation was launched.

The encounter started at around 3:30 pm on Friday, and the operation is currently underway. A local resident has informed that the army has surrounded the entire area and the situation remains serious.

Encounter also in Baramulla and Kathua

An encounter also started in Chak Teper Kreeri Pattan area of ​​​​Baramulla late at night on the same day. Kashmir Zone Police informed about this through a post on X. Police and army are present on the spot, but more information has not been revealed yet.

Apart from this, the army also conducted an operation in Khandara, Kathua, in which soldiers of the Rising Star Corps killed two terrorists. The army confirmed this through a post on X and said that a large quantity of weapons have also been recovered from the terrorists.

Terrorists killed in Udhampur on September 11

Earlier on September 11, two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Udhampur. The army said that the soldiers of the Army's First Para had received information about 2-3 terrorists hiding in the forests of Khandara Top. After this, a search operation was conducted with the help of police. At 12:50 pm, the terrorists opened fire on the soldiers, in response to which the security forces also opened fire. After this encounter which lasted for about four hours, the security forces killed three terrorists.
