In the complaint given to the police, Sushma Rani, a resident of Kharkan village, told that she was married two years ago with Channapal alias Vijay, a resident of Kharkan. On Tuesday, she and her husband, mother-in-law Kanto Devi, sister-in-law Pari and father-in-law Jagir Ram were at home. At around seven in the evening, his father-in-law started breaking the wall of the pir (religious place) located near the house. On this her mother-in-law Kanto tried to stop her but she did not agree.

He started abusing. In the meantime, when her husband Chanpal (24) went, her father-in-law stabbed her on the chest with a knife held in her hand. Her husband fell to the ground as soon as he was stabbed and died on the spot. When she started shouting loudly, the neighbors started gathering.

Seeing this, his father-in-law fled from the spot. Said that the death of her husband was due to the direct stab in the chest by the father-in-law.
