On refusing, the fiancé and his sister took hostage and beat up the girl. After the accused were released from the clutches, the victim has filed a case at the Gomtinagar Extension Police Station.

According to the girl resident of Vardankhand, in the year 2019, she came to know about Vivek Pandey from the matrimonial website. Vivek's profile mentioned being a government contractor. Seeing this, the girl had sent marriage proposal to Vivek. In the conversation, Vivek told that he earns one lakh rupees a month. After the relationship was decided, Vivek booked a hotel for the engagement. The accused took three lakh rupees from the girl for this. After the engagement, it was decided to spend half the wedding. According to which five lakh more rupees were taken from the girl.

Even after this, Vivek and his sister kept demanding money. On refusing, the accused called the girl to meet him at her house. where he was assaulted. Vivek pressurized the girl to bring money from her younger brother. The victim did not listen to the fiance. That day the girl came home somehow. According to the victim, at 15 she was at home. At the same time, Vivek brought sister Neha. Both the men insisted on taking the girl with them. The girl was beaten up in her own house for refusing. The younger brother ran to save his sister. Vivek then pushed the young woman's brother and locked her in a room. Then along with the fiancée, he reached a room in Daliganj. Where the room was locked and he was beaten up.

According to the victim, Vivek is threatening to make the girl's video viral if she does not listen. After the accused was released from the clutches, the victim remained in depression for several days. She talked to Vivek's mother and informed about the incident. But she also started taking the son's side. After all the efforts failed, on May 29, the victim reached the Gomtinagar Extension police station and filed a case against Vivek Pandey, his sister Neha and mother Kanti under serious sections.
