Delhi Liquor Scam: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, accused in the money laundering case related to the liquor scam, will remain in jail for now. Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court granted him regular bail on Thursday. ED had approached the Delhi High Court against this. After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the court has reserved its decision. It is being said that Kejriwal will remain in jail for 2 to 3 days. There will be a stay on the implementation of the bail order till the High Court's decision comes.

After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the Delhi High Court said that we are reserving the order for 2/3 days. The implementation of the trial court's order is stayed till the order is pronounced. Earlier, vacation judge Nyay Bindu in the trial court had granted bail to Kejriwal on Thursday after hearing the arguments of both the ED and CM Kejriwal. This was a regular bail order.

Arvind Kejriwal's lawyer's argument in the court

ED had asked the court to stop this order. On this, the court had said that this will not happen. After this, ED reached the High Court on Friday. In the court, Arvind Kejriwal's lawyer Vikram Chaudhary said that Kejriwal had surrendered after the interim bail granted by the Supreme Court expired.

So will the earth shake?

Chaudhary said that he demanded an extension of the bail, which did not happen. If this person is out, what is the bias in it? You people are not dealing with a terrorist. It is not a case that he has violated any condition. If the Chief Minister of Delhi goes out, will the earth shake?

Argument of Abhishek Manu Singhvi

Arguing on behalf of Kejriwal, Abhishek Manu Singhvi said, ED is completely biased. This case went on for five hours in the trial court. Justice Sharma has clearly said in his order that I am not dealing with bail but with arrest. ED argued on this aspect for more than 20 minutes but forgot to mention this point.

Abhishek Manu Singhvi, citing the Supreme Court's decision, said that I am asking myself, if the trial court cites the Supreme Court's order, then what is that mistake or crime? The Supreme Court gave the lower court clear freedom to consider the bail plea.

During the hearing before lunch, Kejriwal's lawyer Vikram Chaudhary said that I have a preliminary objection. Some comments have been made in the application and verbally. This is an application to cancel the bail. The issue is to what extent can you consider it. ASG SV Raju, appearing on behalf of ED, objected to this.

What did ED say in the High Court?

ASG SV Raju, on behalf of ED, told the High Court that the trial court's order has not been uploaded yet. The conditions are unknown. The investigating agency has not been given a full opportunity to oppose Kejriwal's bail plea. The High Court is requested to stay the order. The case should be heard as soon as possible.

The decision will come after 2-3 days

The Delhi High Court has reserved the decision on Kejriwal's bail. This means that Arvind Kejriwal will have to stay in jail for 2 or 3 days. Let us tell you that the order of Kejriwal's release has been stayed till the decision of the High Court comes. The High Court order will come by Monday or Tuesday. The High Court has asked the lawyer to file written arguments by Monday.

ASG SV Raju, who is representing ED in Delhi High Court in the case of stay on CM Arvind Kejriwal's bail order, said that Kejriwal's bail order has been stayed. The final order in this case will come in 2-4 days and the hearing on cancellation of bail plea will be held later. Notice has been issued in this regard.
