Delhi Liquor Scam: All eyes are on the Supreme Court today in the money laundering case related to the Delhi liquor scam, where the regular bail plea of ​​​​Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will be heard. Earlier, the Supreme Court had refused to grant bail on August 14 and issued a notice to the CBI. The Delhi High Court also rejected his petition and directed him to go to the lower court.

Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21 in the liquor scam, and on June 26, the CBI took him into custody from Tihar Jail. At present, the Rouse Avenue Court has extended his judicial custody till August 27.

Earlier, Kejriwal got interim bail from the Supreme Court during the Lok Sabha elections, which was effective from May 10 to June 1. In today's hearing, it will be seen whether he gets relief or he will have to remain in jail.

Rouse Avenue Court extended judicial custody

Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court has extended Arvind Kejriwal's judicial custody till August 27 in the CBI case related to the liquor scam. Special Judge Kaveri Baveja had given this decision on Kejriwal's judicial custody. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21 after questioning in the alleged liquor scam case.

However, during the Lok Sabha elections, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal got interim bail from the Supreme Court. Arvind Kejriwal was given interim bail by the court from May 10 to June 1. At the same time, after the completion of its timing, Arvind Kejriwal surrendered on June 2 and is currently lodged in Tihar Jail.
