Uttarakhand | A major accident was averted in the bus of pilgrims of Gujarat going to Chardham. A bus carrying 21 passengers from Gujarat was going to Yamunotri. The fire broke out due to a sudden short circuit in the bus near the Katapathar bridge. It just started burning. Seeing the smoke coming out of the bus, the passengers stopped the bus and everyone got out of the bus and saved their lives.During this the bus became a ball of fire. On the information of the local people, the fire brigade department and the Dakpathar police reached and did the work of extinguishing the fire. Due to which the structure of the bus was saved. But all the belongings of the passengers kept in the bus were burnt to ashes. On Saturday, 21 passengers from Gujarat booked a bus from Haridwar to Yamunotri Dham. All the passengers were going to Yamunotri after boarding the bus.As soon as the bus reached the culvert near Katapathar, smoke started coming out in the bus. When the passengers on the bus saw smoke coming out of the bus, they asked the driver to stop the bus. Then I saw that the bus started burning. Somehow the passengers got out of the bus and saved their lives.Soon it became a ball of fire. On the information of local people and travelers, Dakstone Outpost Incharge Arjun Singh May Force and the team of Fire Department reached the spot. The fire brigade and police personnel worked quickly to extinguish the fire. The fire was brought under control in about half an hour. But by then the bus was completely burnt to ashes.Only the structure of the bus survived. The passengers managed to escape after saving their lives, but all the luggage remained inside the bus. All the belongings of the passengers kept in the bus were burnt to ashes. The passengers kept breathing a sigh of relief thinking that the goods were burnt but their lives were saved. Outpost in-charge Dakpathar Arjun Singh Gusain said that the structure of the bus is left. The rest of the bus was burnt to ashes. It is fortunate that all the passengers survived safely. The goods have been burnt to ashes.
