UP News: The Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh Police arrested Farooq Aman, who cheated people by posing as the personal secretary of the Chief Minister, from Kamta Tiraha on Friday. The STF took this action on Thursday night and released detailed information about the case. The arrested accused Farooq Aman has serious charges of cheating and operating online gambling.Farooq Aman, a resident of Sahriya village in Azamgarh, was arrested and two mobile phones, Aadhar card, 'work print out' and many other documents were recovered from his possession. The STF said that Aman was an important member of the gang that took money from people by creating a fake identity as the personal secretary of the Chief Minister and promised to help them pass competitive examinations.The STF statement said that Aman had created a fake WhatsApp account, in which people were contacted by adding the CUG numbers of high officials. He used to take money from people by luring them to lobby with the officials, and offered to help them succeed in various competitive examinations. This fraud was being done in an organised manner, due to which a large number of people were being duped.In the police investigation, it became clear that Farooq Aman was a key associate of the gang leader and he was active in Lucknow. Based on the information received by the STF, he was arrested on Thursday night near Kamta Tiraha, Awadh Bus Stand. A case has been registered against him in Police Station Cyber Crime Commissionerate Lucknow under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the IT Act.This is not the first time that fraud has been committed in the name of a politician's officer. Such incidents have come to light earlier as well, where criminals try to dupe people by taking advantage of their sensitivity. At present, further legal proceedings in the case are being done by the local police and the STF has also intensified efforts to arrest other members of this criminal gang.
