According to the information, Nidhi (31) was originally from Gurugram. She was married in Janta Nagar area. Nidhi has an 11-year-old son and a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter. Nidhi's husband went to South Africa about 3 years ago. After this Nidhi was living on rent in Durgapur. It is being told that around eight o'clock on Saturday night, she was in her house with the children. Meanwhile, head constable Simran Pal (35) reached his house with a government carbine and fired three to four bullets. Nidhi died as soon as the bullets hit her. Simran then shot himself with the same weapon. He fell down bleeding. Hearing the sound of gunshots and children, people gathered. He tried to lift both of them but Nidhi was dead. People admitted the injured Simran to the hospital.

When Simran arrived with the weapon, Nidhi's 11-year-old son and two-and-a-half-year-old daughter were playing with her mother. Then the accused opened fire.
