It’s been a year where Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya has made more news off the field than on it. Whether it is controversial remarks in an Indian chat show back in January; one that landed him in trouble to sustaining another lower-back injury; one that is set to keep him out of the game for at least five months, to posting what many felt was a ‘distasteful’ birthday tweet to former Indian pacer Zaheer Khan, Pandya makes sure he keeps the tabloid rolling.

The Indian all-rounder, who had recently undergone a lower-back surgery in the United Kingdom, took to Twitter today to share a photo of Mumbai Indians co-owner, Mrs. Nita Ambani, thanking her for paying him a visit. Hardik tweeted, “Thank you Bhabhi for coming to meet me here in London. Humbled by your gesture. Your wishes and encouraging words mean a lot to me. You have always been an inspiration.”

Pandya had earlier posted a video where he can be seen sharing his journey towards full fitness besides also thanking his fans for their good wishes. The al-rounder captioned the video as, “Baby steps .. but my road to full fitness begins here and now. Thank you to everyone for their support and wishes, it means a lot.”

Zaheer Khan gives a savage reply to Hardik Pandya

Earlier Pandya was given a befitting reply by Zaheer Khan on his Tweet where he had wished the latter by posting a video from one of his innings of a domestic T20 game where the all-rounder hit the veteran pacer for a six over deep midwicket, and asking him to enjoy his birthday in the same manner as he hit him for that six.

Pandya’s tweet didn’t go down well with a lot of fans as well as pundits, who lambasted the all-rounder, terming it as “distasteful”.

Replying to Hardik’s jibe, Zaheer Khan gave a befitting reply to the all-rounder, mentioning that his birthday was as good as the next ball he bowled to him in that particular game.

Meanwhile, Hardik is expected to be out of the game for a period of at least five months, putting him out of the reckoning for the entire season.
