The ICC has said in its statement that Harmanpreet has been fined 50 per cent for breaching the Level-2 rule. Apart from this, three demerit points have also come on his part. Harmanpreet has been found guilty of Article 2.8 of the ICC Code of Conduct which includes showing disagreement with the umpire's decision.

After the match, when both the teams came to pose for a photo with the trophy, Harmanpreet taunted that he had told them to call the umpires. This has also caused them loss. For this, Harmanpreet has been fined 25 percent of the match fee. This penalty has been imposed due to the offense of Level-1, which includes publicly criticizing the incident in an international match.

Harmanpreet accepted the mistake

According to the ICC statement, Harmanpreet accepted her mistake and accepted the punishment given to her. Therefore, there was no need for any official hearing in this matter and punishment was imposed on them with immediate effect.

The three-match ODI series played between India and Bangladesh was tied 1-1. Bangladesh is not considered a strong team, in such a situation, questions were raised on the game of the Indian team due to the series equalization.
