Washington: Mobile manufacturer Apple has suffered heavy losses due to its employees. In fact, some employees of Apple's Repair Department had posted nude pictures of a girl student on Facebook, after which the company has agreed to pay lakhs of rupees to the victim as damages. The company has also taken action against the guilty employees, as well as assured that such incidents will not happen in future.
Incident happened in 2006As reported by 'The Telegraph', a 21-year-old student from Oregon gave her mobile to Apple in 2016 to be repaired. This mobile was given at an Apple repair facility in California. But two employees working here had posted about 10 pictures of the girl student from her mobile on her Facebook account while fixing the mobile phone.The disclosure of the matter happened in this wayThe uploaded photos also included some very personal photos. The accused carried out the crime in such a way that it appeared that the girl herself had posted the pictures. The matter came to light when some friends of the girl student told her about it. After this, the victim immediately deleted her photo and resorted to legal action against the company.
2 Employees fired from the jobAfter its slander and court rebuke, Apple has now agreed to pay damages. Millions of dollars in damages will be given to the victim student. However, the amount of damages has not been disclosed yet. But the victim's lawyers had sought $5 million for mental stress. According to the report, the company has fired two of its employees in this regard.
