Indian Army: A 24-year-old soldier has been martyred during the 'Operational Task' being conducted by the Army in a forward area near the Line of Control (LoC) in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. The army gave this information on Friday. Actually, the operational task campaign was being conducted in the forward area of Baramulla sector. During this time, army soldier Gurpreet Singh lost his life. The Indian Army has expressed grief over this incident. Let us tell you that Gurpreet Singh had joined the army 6 years ago. He was recruited in the 73 Field Regiment of the Army. After joining the army, he got a new posting in Gulmarg in August 2023. Before Gulmarg, he was posted in Veenaguri, West Bengal.Army gave information on XWhile giving information, Army officials said that Gurpreet Singh was a resident of Gurdaspur, Punjab. He is survived by his mother Lakhwinder Kaur. The Army said that Gurpreet was martyred during 'operational task' on Thursday.
