Rana Sanga: The Rakt Swabhimaan Sammelan organised by the Karni Sena in the historic city of Agra in Uttar Pradesh today is in the headlines. The conference is being held on the occasion of Rana Sanga's birth anniversary, and more than three lakh people are expected to gather in it. In view of this crowd, the police administration is in full alert mode.

The Karni Sena, which is considered an active organisation for protecting Rajput pride and history, is not only making its presence felt through this event but is also trying to give a message of unity and self-respect within the society.

Administrative preparations and security arrangements

The administration fears possible chaos arising from this huge crowd, especially keeping in mind the incident that took place on March 26, when some members of the Karni Sena attacked the residence of Samajwadi Party (SP) Rajya Sabha MP Ramjilal Suman. During this, vandalism was also done.

This is why this time the police has made special preparations to ensure that there is no lapse. Special priority has been given to the security of the SP MP's house, which is located just 15 kilometers away from the conference venue. About 100 policemen have been deployed for the security of Ramjilal Suman.

Rehearsals for riot control have been conducted in the police line, and new sticks, helmets and safety gears have been ordered. The administration has made it clear that full preparations have been made to deal with any emergency.

Political background and controversy

The root of this entire incident is in a controversial statement given by SP MP Ramjilal Suman in Parliament. He addressed Rana Sanga as a "traitor" and claimed that Rana Sanga had invited Babar to India so that he could defeat Ibrahim Lodi.

This statement became the reason for opposition not only from the Karni Sena but also from many Hindu organizations and BJP leaders. It has been described as an insult to the Rajput community and Hindu sentiments. Due to this controversy, the anger of the Karni Sena arose and the matter reached to the attack on the MP's residence.

Judicial initiative

After the attack, the SP MP has filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court in which he has demanded a healthy and fair investigation. In the petition, he has also demanded strict action against the members of the Karni Sena. A hearing on this petition is expected soon.
