Arvind Kejriwal News: Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will now live at a new address. Bungalow No. 5, Ferozshah Road, located in Lutyens Delhi, will be his new home, where he is going to live with his family. The bungalow is located near the headquarters of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and was officially allotted to the party's Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab Ashok Mittal. Earlier, Kejriwal was living in the CM House at 6 Flagstaff Road in Civil Lines area of North Delhi, which he has now had to vacate.

Left 6 Flagstaff Road bungalow

Arvind Kejriwal, who was recently released from Tihar Jail after getting bail from the Supreme Court in the excise policy case, resigned from the post of Chief Minister. After this, his official residence, the bungalow at 6 Flagstaff Road, was allotted to the new Chief Minister Atishi. Kejriwal lived in this bungalow with his wife, children and elderly parents. The renovation of the house was in the news and the BJP had slammed it, calling it a "Sheesh Mahal", especially over the cost of its renovation.

Five months in Tihar Jail

Arvind Kejriwal spent more than five months in Tihar Jail. He was arrested in connection with the liquor scam. After coming out of jail, he took a big political step by resigning from the post of Chief Minister. During his decision to resign, he said that he will not return to the post of Chief Minister until he gets a "certificate of honesty" from the public. He said that he will return to this post only if he gets public support after the assembly elections likely in February next year.

Sisodia also left Mathura Road bungalow

Apart from Kejriwal, another prominent Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia also vacated his bungalow. Sisodia, who was the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, was living in AB-17 bungalow on Mathura Road. But she had to leave this bungalow after her arrest in March 2023 in the excise policy case. Now this bungalow has been allotted to Atishi, the new Chief Minister of Delhi. However, Atishi still lives in her Kalkaji assembly constituency house. The new government residence for her is not yet decided, and there is a possibility that she may also move to the CM House at 6, Flagstaff Road.

Atishi gets 'Z' category security

Atishi has recently been given 'Z' category security after becoming the Chief Minister of Delhi. She is emerging as the prominent face of the Delhi government, and now it will be interesting to see whether she keeps the Mathura Road bungalow as her new residence or shifts to the bungalow at 6 Flagstaff Road.

This change of Kejriwal and Sisodia is an important development in view of the political upheaval in Delhi and preparations for the upcoming assembly elections. The decisions of both the leaders to come out of jail and resign from their posts have created a stir in Delhi politics, and people are also keeping an eye on the upcoming strategies of the Aam Aadmi Party.
