Arvind Kejriwal News: Former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal has given a glimpse of his agenda for next year's assembly elections. At an event organised in Transport Nagar on the occasion of Vishwakarma Diwas, Kejriwal announced that if his party returns to power, Delhiites will get relief from increased electricity and water bills. He urged the public to support leaders who work and differentiated himself from those who make promises but fail to keep them.

"I know how to work"

Arvind Kejriwal presented his image as a leader who does not just make promises but has the experience and desire to turn them into reality. He said, "I am not a political leader like the leaders of other parties. For the last 10 years, I have worked for the development of the people. I have been educated from the country's institutions, so I know how to work." In this statement, Kejriwal highlighted his transparency and efficiency, showing that he understands the expectations of the public and has experience of working for them.

“As soon as AAP comes to power, the increased bills will be waived off”

At the event, Kejriwal also alleged that while he was in jail in the Delhi liquor policy scam case, the Delhi government led by the Lieutenant Governor had hiked electricity and water bills. In this context, he said, "Don't worry. Now I am out and when AAP comes to power in February, your bills will be waived off." Kejriwal's promise is part of his policy which he has already implemented, in which low-income families are given relief.

"Vote for those who work"

Citing the work done by the AAP government during its ten-year tenure in Delhi, Kejriwal said, "Vote for those who have worked. I am not saying vote for AAP. Ask the BJP what they have done for your children. I challenge them to show even one work done for the people of Delhi."

Kejriwal mentioned the reforms done during his tenure, such as schemes in education, health, free bus travel, and presented them as examples of all-round development in Delhi. He also indicated that the BJP did not contribute much to the development of Delhi and has nothing to show.

"Promise of Delhi's development"

The AAP chief has described the reforms done in primary sectors like education and health as one of the biggest achievements of his tenure. He cited policies like improving the condition of government schools in Delhi, opening Mohalla clinics, free bus travel for women and keeping water and electricity prices under control. Kejriwal made it clear that his party's priority is to improve the quality of life of the citizens of Delhi.

Preparation for the electoral battle

The Delhi Assembly elections are due in early 2024, and Kejriwal's statement is an attempt to directly influence the public in this election environment. AAP's focus is now once again on issues that directly affect the common man, especially those with limited income. This election can bring a turning point in Delhi, where there is a tough competition between BJP and AAP on development and facilities.

Conclusion

Arvind Kejriwal has appealed to the people of Delhi to vote for those who work and has promised the people that if his government comes to power, they will not have to bear the burden of increased electricity and water bills. Now it will be interesting to see whom the people of Delhi support and whether the promises will prove to be the key to victory, or only the long list of development of Delhi will be able to win the trust of the people.
