UP chunav result | Due to Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, Sirathu seat was in the eye of the whole country and state. When the counting of votes started in the morning, Keshav Maurya took a lead of 960 votes in the first round. There was happiness when the news reached the BJP camp outside the counting center. The flash of being in front of Keshav went on the channels. But this happiness did not last long as in the second round, SP-backed Apna Dal (Kamarawadi) candidate Pallavi Patel took a lead of 365 votes. His lead continued till the 13th round.

The scene changed once again in the 14th round when Keshav Maurya was ahead by 928 votes. His lead continued in the 15th round as well. The counting of votes on this seat was to be done in 31 rounds, so the discussion intensified that now anything can happen. But the scene changed once again from the 16th round.

In this round, Pallavi was ahead by a narrow margin of 182 votes. But he continued to increase his lead in all the next rounds. His lead remained till the last round. Meanwhile, at around five o'clock, when Pallavi's lead reached beyond six thousand, the atmosphere at the counting venue changed completely. After the objection of Keshav Maurya's son, the controversy increased and the counting of votes was stopped.

Counting stalled for one and a half hours

Due to the ruckus, the counting of votes was stopped from 5.10 am and was stalled for about one and a half hours. The Deputy CM's sons were demanding to get the counting done again, but the officers refused, saying that the machine against which you have objection can be counted. Pallavi Patel, who reached there, also objected to the counting of votes again.

He even said that the entire votes of the EVMs against whom there is an objection should be added to the account of the BJP candidate, but it would not be right to count the votes again. After 6.35, the process of counting of votes started again. Pallavi Patel was declared the winner after eight o'clock amid all the stalemate.

Still the mandate came against

On the initiative of Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, a new bridge was built on the river Ganga to connect Kaushambi-Pratapgarh. Flyovers were constructed at Ajuha, Meethapur Sayara, Bamhrauli, Tedhimod and Saini. The roads widened. Water started coming continuously in 35 years of dry canals.

Due to this, the water label in Sirathu block included in the dark zone was corrected, but even after this the mandate went against him. Not only in the region, the market for many discussions is hot about his defeat, although Keshav Maurya has expressed his gratitude to the voters of Sirathu through Facebook.
