Politics is at its peak

The Yogi government has taken 'bulldozer action' against an SP leader, allegedly the main accused in the Ayodhya rape case. After this, the political tussle between the Samajwadi Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party has intensified on Saturday. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya accused the Samajwadi Party of trying to "save the rapists", after which Akhilesh Yadav's uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav demanded that the Deputy CM should also be subjected to narco test along with the accused.

Let us tell you that Moeed Khan, who runs a bakery in Bhadarsa town of Purakalandar police station area of the district and is associated with the Samajwadi Party, and his employee Raju Khan were arrested on July 30 for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl two months ago and recording the act.

The horrific incident came to light when medical examination revealed that the victim was pregnant. BJP leaders, including Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, have alleged that Moeed Khan is a member of the Samajwadi Party and is part of the team of Faizabad MP Awadhesh Prasad.

Ayodhya rape case update so far

After the BJP's allegations, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said, "Without DNA test in the Bhadarsa case of Ayodhya, BJP's allegation will be considered biased."

The BJP and UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya attacked the Samajwadi Party for trying to "save a pedophile" as the leaders of the Indian National Congress "remain silent" on the issue. Maurya said in an X post, "It is the natural instinct of the Samajwadi Party to protect rapists. If the rapist is a Muslim then the entire Saifai family puts all its efforts into saving him. SP will be wiped out."

Responding to Maurya's tweet, Akhilesh Yadav's uncle and senior SP leader Shivpal Yadav wrote on Twitter, "I strongly condemn the Ayodhya incident and also support the demand for narco test made by Pawan Pandey. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya should also undergo narco test so that it becomes clear who is doing cheap politics on sensitive issues."

Shivpal Yadav demanded narco test for the victim and the accused and said that all BJP leaders trying to 'politicise the issue' should be subjected to narco test. He said that the BJP is doing this because of its defeat in the Lok Sabha elections in UP.

The Ayodhya district administration on Saturday demolished the "illegally constructed" bakery of accused Moeed Khan, saying that the SP leader illegally seized pond land and constructed the bakery.

After meeting the victim's mother, CM Yogi Adityanath asked for special arrangements to be made for the health and safety of the minor rape victim.
