All the senior leaders of the party including CM Yogi and party officials associated with the Mandal are participating in the meeting. But Keshav Maurya did not attend any meeting. While doing damage control on this issue, it was said from the side of the party that Keshav is not coming to the meeting due to important work. But when Keshav did not come to the meeting of Prayagraj Mandal, then the political differences between Yogi Adityanath and Keshav Maurya came out in the open.

Differences between CM Yogi and Keshav Maurya

The dispute between Keshav Prasad Maurya and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is increasing. However, this dispute is not new. The dispute started as soon as Yogi Adityanath became the CM. In 2017, Keshav Prasad Maurya was the state president. He believed that under his presidency, BJP came to power through the non-Yadav OBC vote bank by adding small backward castes, so the CM should be from the OBC community.

Political analysts believe that Keshav was seeing himself as a CM candidate. But at the last moment Yogi Adityanath became the Chief Minister. Since then, the differences that started between Yogi and Keshav. They kept coming to the fore from time to time. The period of differences between Yogi Adityanath and Keshav Prasad Maurya continued. The intervention of the CM regarding Keshav's department deepened the differences.

Yogi and Maurya came face to face many times

In 2018-19, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made the tender of PWD worth Rs 10 crore online. There were many such occasions when there was a dispute over the HOD and Principal Secretary of the department. After that Keshav Prasad Maurya also wrote a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath regarding corruption in Lucknow Development Authority and demanded an investigation.

Even before the 22 assembly elections, Keshav Prasad Maurya took a dig at the Chief Minister and said that the organization is bigger than the government and the government should accept everything the organization says. After Keshav lost from Sirathu in the 2022 elections, the possibility of Keshav having a good relationship with CM Yogi came to an end.

When BJP came to power again in 2022, Yogi Adityanath became the Chief Minister again. Keshav Prasad Maurya, who lost the election from Sirathu, missed becoming the CM again. The pain of which sometimes comes out.

Distances increased after the Lok Sabha elections

Meanwhile, Keshav Prasad Maurya wrote a letter to the department of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and sought information from the Principal Secretary Appointment and Personnel. After the results of the Lok Sabha elections, the distance between Keshav Prasad Maurya and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath started increasing again. The situation reached such a point that Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya did not attend three cabinet meetings, even though he was present in Lucknow.

However, he was also present in Delhi during one meeting. Apart from this, when the Chief Minister called an important meeting after the elections, Keshav was also not present in that. After this, the Chief Minister formed a team of ministers for the by-elections on 10 seats, in which both the Deputy CMs did not get a place.
