TV / Ma Corona Devi, this is the +ve I didn't want: Rupali on COVID-19

Television actress Rupali Ganguly, who is currently playing the lead role in the television series 'Anupamaa', announced that she has tested positive for COVID-19. "Ma Corona Devi...This is the kind of positive I didn't want to be...Have quarantined myself away from my family...The family has been tested and awaiting results...please send out...love...for my family," she posted on Instagram.

Mumbai: Television actress Rupali Ganguly, who is currently essaying the title role of Anupamaa in highest TRP rated show, tested positive this morning. Sometime back, we informed you about this unfortunate news and now the actress has informed about the same to fans via her social media account and have also mentioned how is she fighting with it. 

On Instagram, Rupali Ganguly sharing a quirky picture of her captioned, "MA Corona Devi .Tu hai ki nahiiiii  (mild to asymptomatic)Ye kya hua kaise hua kab hua. Jab hua tab hua .... chhodo ye na poocho . This is the kind of positive I didn’t want to be  Take care and stay safe everyone and keep showering ur love on my Anupamaa and Team Anupamaa. Sorry for letting the family down @ashwinkverma and the entire unit down @rajan.shahi.543 despite u taking all the precautions- pata nahi kahan se kaise ho gaya. Have quarantined myself away from my family and other humans. Family has been tested and awaiting results.... please keep them in ur prayers. Unit is getting tested too as I write this .... please send out a lot of love , healing and prayers for my family and for my Anupamaa family".

Along with Rupali Ganguly, her on-screen elder son, Aashish Mehrotra who essays the character of Paritosh in the show has also tested positive. Aashish tested positive a few days ago, after which the entire team was asked to go through the COVID-19 test. Rupali's reports came in this morning, stating she has contracted the virus, however the actress is asymptomatic.

Few days back, , Paras Kalnawat who plays Samar, the younger son to Rupali in the show, also tested positive and has been staying under self- isolation for 14 days before joining the shoot. 

In recent time television actors like Amar Upadhyay and Priyal Mahajan from Molkki, Monalisa from Namak Issk Ka and Mandar Chandwadkar from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah have tested positive for COVID-19.
