BRICS Summit 2024 / Modi and Putin met in Kazan, India clarified its stand on Ukraine conflict

The BRICS summit will be held on 23-24 October in the Russian city of Kazan. PM Narendra Modi and President Vladimir Putin had a warm meeting. The bilateral talks discussed strengthening India-Russia relations, the Indian Consulate in Kazan, and a peaceful resolution of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

BRICS Summit 2024: The BRICS summit is being held in the Russian city of Kazan on 23 and 24 October, in which major economic and political issues will be discussed. Ahead of this important event, an important meeting of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin took place. Deepening of relations between India and Russia

During talks with President Putin, Prime Minister Modi expressed his thanks for the warm hospitality given by Russia. He particularly mentioned India's historical ties with the city of Kazan and informed that India is opening a new consulate here. PM Modi said, "This is my second visit to Russia in the last few months, this confirms the deep and strong ties between our two countries." It became clear from this meeting that the relations between India and Russia are getting stronger, which will further deepen bilateral cooperation and economic partnership in the times to come.

Discussion on Russia-Ukraine conflict

During the bilateral talks, Prime Minister Modi also mentioned the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. He said that India has always been in favor of a peaceful solution and India is also constantly striving to resolve the humanitarian crisis arising out of the war. He stressed that "India believes that the solution to any conflict is possible only through peace and stability." Clarifying India's diplomatic position on this issue, he reiterated his determination towards global peace and stability.

President Putin's response

In talks with Prime Minister Modi, President Putin also praised the growing bilateral relations between India and Russia. He emphasized that the ongoing joint projects between India and Russia are making steady progress. Putin said, "We welcome your decision to open an Indian Consulate in Kazan." Along with this, he also informed that the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission will be held in New Delhi on December 12, where cooperation and partnership between the two countries will be further strengthened.

Future relations between India and Russia

This meeting of PM Modi and President Putin has given a new direction to the growing cooperation and relations between the two countries.
