BRICS Summit 2024: The BRICS summit is being held in the Russian city of Kazan on 23 and 24 October, in which major economic and political issues will be discussed. Ahead of this important event, an important meeting of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin took place. The two leaders warmly welcomed each other, where PM Modi shook hands with Putin and then hugged him. Clarifying India's diplomatic position on this issue, he reiterated his determination towards global peace and stability.President Putin's responseIn talks with Prime Minister Modi, President Putin also praised the growing bilateral relations between India and Russia. He emphasized that the ongoing joint projects between India and Russia are making steady progress. Putin said, "We welcome your decision to open an Indian Consulate in Kazan." Along with this, he also informed that the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission will be held in New Delhi on December 12, where cooperation and partnership between the two countries will be further strengthened.Future relations between India and RussiaThis meeting of PM Modi and President Putin has given a new direction to the growing cooperation and relations between the two countries.
