Pakistan kept their hopes of reaching the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2022 alive with a 33 (DLS) run win against South Africa. Pakistan won this match through their all-round performance, where Iftikhar Ahmed and Shadab Khan scored half-centuries in the batting, Shaheen Afridi took three wickets in the bowling. Apart from this, there was another player who caught the attention of the whole world. Here we are talking about Mohammad Haris. This player, who came to bat at number three, gave pace to the Pakistani innings by playing a stormy innings of 28 runs in 11 balls. During this his strikerate was 254.55.

After Pakistan's match, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag praised the 21-year-old young player. During this, he said that Haris's future is bright and said that if he keeps playing like this, then in the coming times, Haris can force Mohammad Rizwan or Babar Azam to play down.

Speaking to Cricbuzz, Virender Sehwag said, "He has a bright future looking at the way he has batted. You are on Australia's wicket against South Africa... even though 28 runs have been scored, somewhere these 28 runs are equal to 60, especially the pace at which they have played. If he had played comfortably he would not have got out. Why would he have tried to hit, he could have scored his own runs. The way he has played is amazing. If he keeps playing like this in the coming time, then he should not force Babar Azam and Mohammad Azam to play down.

Let us tell you, Mohammad Haris was part of the reserve players of Pakistan in the T20 World Cup. Before the match against South Africa, left-handed batsman Fakhar Zaman was ruled out of the tournament due to injury. Haris was included in the team as his replacement. Babar Azam & Co decided to go with Haris before giving a chance to Khushdil Shah, Haider Ali and Asif Ali among the first 15 players and the player showed his talent in the very first match.
