Yogi Government / Mughal chapter closes in UP students' syllabus, Yogi government removes chapters from books

Students of UP will no longer study the history of Mughals. The Yogi government has made major changes in the syllabus of class 12th. The Mughal chapter has been removed from the history book taught in class 12 in UP. Apart from this, the lessons of rise of Islam, clash of cultures and industrial revolution have also been removed from the history book in class 11th.

Yogi Government: Students of UP will no longer study the history of Mughals. The Yogi government has made major changes in the syllabus of class 12th. The Mughal chapter has been removed from the history book taught in class 12 in UP. Apart from this, the lessons of rise of Islam, clash of cultures and industrial revolution have also been removed from the history book in class 11th. This change has been implemented from the session starting from April. Along with this, the lesson of American supremacy and cold war has also been removed from the civics book.

Changes in the syllabus of 11th history

Explain that in the history book to be taught in Intermediate in the academic session 2023-24, the ruler and the Mughal court have been removed from 'Some topics of Indian history-II'. The Yogi government has made major changes in the history syllabus of the UP board. Changes have been made in the history syllabus of class 12th and 11th. The rise of Islam, the chapter on clash of cultures has been removed from the 11th and the Industrial Revolution lessons have also been removed. This change has been implemented from the session starting from April.

Some chapters were also removed from the 10th syllabus

The chapter on the rise of mass movements and the era of one-party dominance has been removed from the book on politics in independent India of the UP Board's Class 12 syllabus. Apart from this, the chapters of Democracy and Diversity, People's Struggle and Movement, Challenges of Democracy have been closed from the book of 10th Democratic Politics 2.

What did the Deputy CM say on the removal of history chapters

On the other hand, regarding the removal of history chapters from the syllabus of the students, the Deputy CM of UP said that this step should not be linked to elections. There is a need to change the way our children are taught about history. The new curriculum will change the outlook of the children. Today the politics of appeasement, casteism, familyism has come to an end, due to which the nation is benefiting.
