Baba Siddiqui, leader of NCP Ajit Pawar faction in Maharashtra, has been shot. After this incident, he was immediately admitted to Lilavati Hospital. At present, his condition is said to be critical. Police have arrested two accused in this case. After the incident, a large number of police forces have been deployed at the spot.
According to the information received, firing is being reported near Ram Mandir near Baba Siddiqui's office in Bandra East. The incident took place around 9.15 pm. It is being told that two to three rounds of firing were done on Baba Siddiqui. One of these bullets hit Baba Siddiqui's chest.

Baba Siddiqui has been an MLA from Bandra West seat thrice in 1999, 2004 and 2009 and has also been a minister in the Congress government in Maharashtra. Baba Siddiqui has also held the post of Chairman of the Mumbai Division of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority. In the 2014 assembly elections, Baba Siddiqui was defeated by BJP leader Ashish Shelar.
