Baba Siddiqui / NCP leader Baba Siddique shot in Mumbai, rushed to Lilavati hospital

Baba Siddiqui, leader of NCP Ajit Pawar faction in Maharashtra, has been shot. He has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in a hurry. According to the information, Baba Siddiqui's condition is said to be critical. Two to three rounds of firing were done on him in which one bullet hit his chest.

Baba Siddiqui, leader of NCP Ajit Pawar faction in Maharashtra, has been shot. After this incident, he was immediately admitted to Lilavati Hospital. At present, his condition is said to be critical. Police have arrested two accused in this case. After the incident, a large number of police forces have been deployed at the spot.


According to the information received, firing is being reported near Ram Mandir near Baba Siddiqui's office in Bandra East. The incident took place around 9.15 pm. It is being told that two to three rounds of firing were done on Baba Siddiqui. One of these bullets hit Baba Siddiqui's chest.


Who is Baba Siddiqui?

Baba Siddiqui is considered one of the big leaders of the minority community in Mumbai. Before the Lok Sabha elections, he resigned from Maharashtra Congress. Later he joined the NCP led by Ajit Pawar. Baba Siddiqui's son Zeeshan Siddiqui is also active in politics. Baba Siddiqui has been an MLA from Bandra West seat thrice in 1999, 2004 and 2009 and has also been a minister in the Congress government in Maharashtra. Baba Siddiqui has also held the post of Chairman of the Mumbai Division of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority. In the 2014 assembly elections, Baba Siddiqui was defeated by BJP leader Ashish Shelar.
