Hanoi A new type of coronavirus has been found in Vietnam. The Vietnam Minister of Health stated that this is a hybrid version of the variants found first in India and then in the United Kingdom. Health Minister Nguyen Than Long said on Saturday that scientists have been identified by examining the genetic nature of the virus that has infected some recent patients. He said that lab tests believe that it can spread faster than previous types.

Long says the new type has spread to 30 of Vietnam's 63 municipalities and provinces, and this may increase the number of recently infected cases. Viruses often develop small genetic changes as they reproduce, and new forms of coronaviruses have been seen as causing COVID-19 in China around the end of 2019.

The World Health Organization has listed four global forms of concern that have been found in South Africa, Brazil, the UK and India. Vietnam was initially different in its success in overcoming the virus. Since the onset of the epidemic, only a little over 3,100 cases and 35 deaths were reported here until the beginning of May. But in the last few days 3500 new cases have been registered in the country while 12 people have died.

Most of the states where new types of cases have been reported in Vietnam have offices of various multinational companies. Not only this, a situation has been created in Vietnam after 4800 people were found infected in one company simultaneously.

All religious events, big events are banned in Vietnam. With this, one million people have been vaccinated in Vietnam so far.
