Pakistan Jaffar Express: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is going to visit Balochistan for the first time after the horrific incident of hijacking of Jaffar Express in Pakistan. According to Geo TV report, during this visit, the Prime Minister will not only review the law and order situation but will also express his sensitivity and solidarity to the affected citizens. The visit is taking place at a crucial time when the security forces have claimed to have killed all 33 Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) terrorists.Jaffar Express hijack incidentIt is worth noting that more than 400 passengers were on board the Jaffar Express when the terrorists hijacked it. After this fierce conflict that lasted two days, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary said that the Pakistani armed forces took decisive action against the terrorists in this operation. He also revealed that the terrorists were in contact with their mastermind based in Afghanistan through satellite phone.Suicide bombers used passengers as shieldsAccording to the army spokesperson, units of Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Special Service Group (SSG), Army and Frontier Corps (FC) played a key role in the operation. The Pakistan Army claimed that the terrorists had killed 21 innocent passengers even before the evacuation operation began. During this, four FC personnel were also martyred in Mushkaf area of Bolan district. Lieutenant General Choudhary said that the suicide bombers used the passengers as human shields, who were later gunned down by snipers.Condition of the injured and deadAt least 29 people injured in the attack were shifted to Quetta, of which 16 were admitted to CMH and 13 to Civil Hospital. According to the hospital administration, all the injured passengers are now in stable condition and out of danger. 47 other passengers from Mach have also been shifted to Quetta. The bodies of the deceased have been collected at Mach railway station and will be sent to their native places after necessary formalities.Statement of Defence Minister Khawaja AsifReacting to the incident, Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that Pakistan is not weak and has not surrendered to terrorism. He alleged that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is speaking the language used by Indian media and Afghan accounts on social media platforms. He urged political parties in the country to rise above political differences and show unity at the time of such national disasters.Significance of Prime Minister's visitThis visit of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is important not only to console the families of the hijack victims but it also reflects Pakistan's strong policy and commitment against terrorism.
