Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who has not missed a single chance to sing his beloved Kashmir raga, has once again waged this melody. Imran Khan has said that his country will not hold talks with India until New Delhi withdraws its decision to revoke the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.

On 5 August 2019, India repealed most of the provisions of Article 370, which were attached to the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. Imran Khan said, "Until India withdraws the decision of August 5 ... Pakistan's government will not negotiate with India at any cost."

Imran Khan was answering questions from common people during a live broadcast session.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that no talks are currently being held with India, but talks can take place if New Delhi changes its policies on Kashmir and gives relief to the people of Kashmir.

At a press conference in Islamabad, he said, "Jammu and Kashmir cannot be an internal issue of India as it is on the agenda of the United Nations and there are several proposals of the Security Council on it."

India has been consistently saying that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and the country is capable of solving its problems. India has also always said that it will be ready to negotiate with Islamabad only when the terror ends. India has stated its clear stand that terror and dialogue cannot continue simultaneously.
