There was a huge rush at the petrol pumps in Haridwar and Roorkee on Monday after the rumor of running out of oil. Petrol ran out at many pumps after the crowd gathered. After a similar rumor spread in Dehradun, on Monday evening, crowds gathered at the petrol pumps of Dehradun. People gathered at petrol pumps in many places including Patelnagar, Kargi, Premnagar, Mehunwala. During this in Kargi, there was a ruckus there. Seeing the crowd, the petrol pump employees left the pump. During this the police had to be called. The police explained to the people.

On the other hand, officials say that there is no shortage of petrol and diesel. People should not pay heed to any kind of rumours. DSO Jaswant Kandari says that there is a problem at some pumps, but the supply is smooth at most of the pumps. There is enough oil at the pumps of IOC and BPC. So people should avoid rumours.

Oil crisis at 30 percent pumps in Dehradun

About 30 percent of the petrol pumps in Dehradun are facing oil crisis. Most of HP's petrol pumps remained dry for the second day on Monday. Reliance's pump is running closed for a week. The tanker arrived on the third day on Monday at some pumps in Doon. Whereas on normal days a tanker of 12 thousand liters reaches every other day. On an average, five to eight thousand liters of oil is consumed at one pump every day. According to the information, the supply at HP's pumps is completely affected. Apart from this, Essar's pumps are also not getting enough oil. The supplies that are coming from these companies are first being sent for the pumps of Chardham Yatra route. Whereas the petrol pumps of the capital are getting less supply.

NSA will be imposed on rumor mongers

Deputy Inspector General of Police Janmejay Khanduri has appealed to the people of Doon to maintain peace and religious harmony in the present scenario. Do not pay heed to any kind of rumor and immediately inform the police control room or your nearest police station if you get any information regarding those spreading rumors through social media or other means. Action will be taken under NSA by Dehradun Police against persons trying to disturb religious harmony through rumours.


Big relief due to the arrival of tankers at many pumps in Dehradun in the evening

Petrol was not found at Hindustan Petroleum (HP) petrol pump at Eslehal from Sunday evening till Monday morning. A tanker arrived in the afternoon, after which the drivers started getting petrol. Petrol was not available at HP's petrol pump on Gandhi Road at 2 pm on Monday. There was silence in the premises. Near this, oil was being available at the Indian Oil Petrol Pump. The HP petrol pump was also lying deserted on the Ring Road. The employees had put up signs to stop the movement of vehicles, so that no vehicle would unnecessarily disturb the employees. There was a problem of petrol in the pump since Sunday. On the other hand, the HP pump on Haridwar bypass did not get oil till the evening of the second day.
