A picture of a pregnant Deputy Superintendent of Police working on the field amid COVID-19 has been shared by IPS officer Dipanshu Kabra. "The picture is of Dantewada DSP Shilpa Sahu. Shilpa, even during her pregnancy, is busy with her team in the scorching sun and is appealing to people...to follow the lockdown," he wrote. Shilpa is five months pregnant.

Dantewada: A pregnant Deputy Superintendent of Police working on the field in scorching heat and urging people to follow COVID-19 safety measures is winning hearts online. DSP Shila Sahu, posted in the Maoist affected town, Dantewada of Bastar division in Chhattisgarh, was seen regulating the traffic. A photo of the DSP has gone viral on social media.

The photo was shared by IPS officer Dipanshu Kabra on Twitter. "The picture is of Dantewada DSP Shilpa Sahu. Shilpa, even during her pregnancy, is busy with her team in the scorching sun and is appealing to people on the streets to follow the lockdown," Kabra captioned the picture.

Sahu was seen holding a lathi in her hand and wearing a face mask while standing in the scorching heat of summers. Sahu is five months pregnant. She urged people stepping outside without any reason to stay at their homes.

The photo has gone viral on the microblogging platform, with netizens praising the DSP for her dedication towards her work. 

One user said, "Leading from the front, at the front. #Leadership." Another wrote, "Appreciable dedication to duty."

However, there were some who expressed concern for her and her baby's health.
