He said after the third T20 match against Sri Lanka in Canberra, 'Initially when I discussed the dates with Cricket Australia, there was a gap of two weeks, in which I would have potentially got time.'

Maxwell said, 'So when I made the final decision on the dates, I was happy that I would not have to miss any series. After this last year when I came to the (Cricket Australia) contract meeting, they told that there will be a series against Pakistan. The IPL is likely to begin in the last week of March while Australia's tour of Pakistan in the limited overs series will begin on March 29.

Maxwell will marry next month
