West Bengal News: A big news has come from West Bengal. The state's Health and Family Welfare Department has canceled the recruitment of house-staff locally in all medical colleges. Although the department did not give a clear reason behind the move, it is being linked to the ongoing doctors' strike in the state.The department issued a notice today, stating that the house-staff recruitments under HFW-23099/136/2024/M/1058, HFW-46020(99)/35/2024/M/1057, and HFW-46020(99)/35/2024/M/1035 have been canceled. According to the notice, there was a plan to recruit 84 posts in RG Kar Medical College and 9 posts in Jalpaiguri Government Medical College, which has now been postponed till further orders.What was said in the notice?It was said in the notice that the recruitment of house-staff under HFW-23099/136/2024/M/1058 dated 24/04/2024, HFW-46020(99)/35/2024/M/1057 dated 24/04/2024 and HFW-46020(99)/35/2024/M/1035 dated 23/04/2024 has been cancelled by the State Health and Family Welfare Department by issuing an order. Recruitment was also to be done in RG Kar Medical CollegeLet us tell you that according to the notice number HFW-23099/136/2024/M/1058 dated 24/04/2024, the department had issued a notification for the recruitment of house staff in RG Kar Medical College, according to which, a total of 84 posts were to be recruited. Also, according to the notice number HFW-46020(99)/35/2024/M/1035 dated 23/04/2024, house staff was also to be recruited for 9 posts in Jalpaiguri Government Medical College. Which has now been canceled by the department by issuing an order till further orders.
