Khalistan Dispute / S Jaishankar said in America on Nijjar murder case, 'Canada should present evidence'

Khalistan Dispute: Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has sought evidence from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in the Khalistan terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar murder case. PM Trudeau had claimed to have evidence in the Nijjar murder. Jaishankar is in America and here he met US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jack Suvillion. After this, while talking to the media, he said that if Canada has any evidence then they should show it to us. We are ready to watch.

The meeting between Jaishankar and Blinken was very special amid Justin Trudeau's allegations and claims, but nothing is clear about whether Canada was discussed or not. Canada is considered a base for Khalistan supporters. On a question from journalists, Jaishankar said that it is Canada's political compulsion to provide shelter to Khalistanis. In response to questions in the Nijjar murder case, he said, “If (Canada) has any information, then please tell. We are ready to see him.”

S Jaishankar was on a five-day visit to America. Speaking to the media, Jaishankar said, “I want to make one thing clear that we have not closed the doors to look into any case. If there is a need to look into a matter, we will definitely look into it, but there should be something to look into a matter.” Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau claims that he has evidence in the murder case of Hardeep Nijjar. He had accused India of killing Nijjar in the country's Parliament. Later he clarified that “These allegations were not made without any reason. There is enough evidence for this.”

There was tension in India and Canada over the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

Canada and America say that they had also raised this issue during their meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the G20. The tension between India and Canada over Nijjar's murder increased so much that India imposed a visa ban on Canada. Both countries suspended each other's diplomats. Meanwhile, America is continuously pressurizing India to cooperate in the investigation. From NSA Suvillion to Foreign Minister Blinken have appealed to India to cooperate in the investigation.

FIVE EYES gave intelligence input

Amidst the dispute that started between India and Canada, news came that Justin Trudeau is pointing fingers at India on the basis of intelligence input from FIVE EYES. FIVE EYES is a group of intelligence sharing between America, Britain, New Zealand, Australia and Canada. Canada informally revealed that a member of this group provided intelligence input. The evidence contains some information about surveillance of Indian diplomats and some inputs related to communication. However, Canada has reportedly not provided any concrete evidence to the Indian government. Now Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has asked for evidence.
