Mumbai: Bollywood producer Sandip Ssingh on Sunday rubbished all the claims and revealed the reason behind contacting the ambulance driver days after Sushant Singh Rajput's demise.

He shared screenshots of his chats with Sushant's sister Mitu Singh and his brother-in-law and wrote that though he had never met the late actor's family, he decided to stand by them in their time of grief and crisis.

In the chats, Sushant's sister can be seen enquiring about the ambulance driver's payment, to which Sandip replied that it has been taken care of. He can also be seen asking her whether she needs anything and to contact him if they require any help.

Besides, in one of the chats dated July 1, Sandip can be seen asking Mitu about a person who allegedly had been speaking against him in the media, to which she replied that she had no idea who he was.

"Just want to end the speculation why I was talking to the ambulance driver despite his statement," Sandip captioned the post.

He also wrote, "Everyone is saying that your family does not know me. Yes, its correct, I never met your family. Is it my fault to help a grieving sister alone in this city to complete the final rites of a brother? (sic)."

After Sushant passed away on June 14, several reports had claimed that Sandip had contacted the ambulance driver, resulting into people suspecting him of foul play.

The producer had earlier said that he and Sushant knew each other from the time the late actor stayed in Lokhandwala with his then-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande and had just ventured into Bollywood.
