Seven Army personnel have been hit by an avalanche in the hilly areas of Arunachal Pradesh. Official sources said in Delhi that search and rescue operation is on for them.

The avalanche incident took place in the high altitude area of ​​Kameng sector of the state. The missing jawans were part of a team patrolling on Sunday. Then they got hit by an avalanche.

A source said that the search and rescue operation of the soldiers is going on. A team of experts has been sent to the spot by plane, so that their services can be taken in the rescue work. The weather in the area is bad and it has been snowing continuously for the last few days, so rescue operations may also get affected.
