In the Women's Asia Cup 2022, Team India defeated Thailand by nine wickets on Monday to consolidate its place at number-1 in the points table. This was India's last league match and in the absence of captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana took charge of the team. India won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Thailand team looked very novice in front of the Indian team.

The Thailand team looked very novice in front of the Indian team. After the match, captain Mandhana and Jemima Rodrigues together took the class of Thailand cricketers. Both shared their experience with these young players.

This match was very special for Smriti Mandhana, one she captained and secondly it was also her 100th T20 International match. A video of Mandhana and Jemima interacting with the Thailand team has been shared by the Asian Cricket Council.

In this video, Mandhana has told how she plans her innings and on what kind of balls she plays her shots. The Thailand women's cricket team played six matches in this tournament, winning three and losing three. India lost the only match against Pakistan. In the points table, India is on top with 10 points. Pakistan and Sri Lanka have eight points each and both the teams are second and third in the order.
