Uttar Pradesh News: Police has taken major action after the collapse of 5-storey Alaya Apartment located on Bajirahsan Road in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. In this case, the police has detained Nawazish Shahid, son of former minister and SP MLA Shahid Manzoor. The apartment was bought by Shahid Manzoor's nephew Mohammad Tariq and son Nawazish Shahid. The police took Shahid Manzoor's son Nawazish into custody and interrogated him for an hour and brought him to Lucknow at around 1.30 am. Alaya Apartment was built by Yazdan Builders.

Alaya apartment was named after Shahid Manzoor's granddaughter

Please tell that the name of this apartment is named after the granddaughter of MLA Shahid Manzoor i.e. Alaya, daughter of son Nawazish Shahid. Shahid Manzoor is the MLA from Kithore in Meerut. So far 3 people have died in this accident, while 14 people have been pulled out of the debris. 3 people are still feared trapped under the debris of the collapsed building. The reason for the collapse of this 5-storey building is yet to be ascertained, but it is also being linked to the earthquake that occurred yesterday afternoon.

The accident happened at around 6.45 pm

Earthquake tremors were felt across North India including Delhi on Tuesday afternoon. Its intensity was measured at 5.8 on the Richter scale and its center was in Nepal. There were about 16 flats in this 5-storey building and the pent house was at the top. It is feared that the death toll may increase. According to eyewitnesses, the incident took place at around 6.45 pm. The policemen posted at the site of the building collapse had to struggle a lot to control the grieving relatives.

Buildings made by Yazdan builders will be investigated

Meanwhile, the Divisional Commissioner of Lucknow, Dr. Roshan Jacob has instructed the officials of the Lucknow Development Authority that after the collapse of Alaya Apartment on Wazirganj Hasan Road in Hazratganj, the owners of the building, Mohammad Tareef and Nawazish Shahid, as well as the builders of this apartment, will be arrested. A case was immediately registered against Yazdan builders. He asked the officials to identify other buildings constructed by Yazdan builders in Lucknow and get them investigated and if any building is illegally constructed then the process of its demolition should be started.
