Ali Sabry: Amidst the ongoing political tension between India and Canada, Sri Lanka has also jumped into the fray. Responding to the India-Canada diplomatic row, Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Ali Sabri has even described Canada as a safe haven for terrorists. While talking to NNI on Monday, Ali Sabri said very harsh things to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. He even said that Trudeau has this way of making some outrageous allegations without any evidence.

Safe haven for terrorists

Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Ali Sabri said that some terrorists have found safe haven in Canada. He said that Trudeau had said the same thing for Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan Foreign Minister said that talk of genocide in Sri Lanka was a blatant lie. Everyone knows that there was no genocide in our country. Sabri said relations between Canada and Sri Lanka have been affected due to Trudeau's 'genocide' remarks.

Canada should not enter other countries

Ali Sabri advised the Canadian PM not to interfere in the internal affairs of a sovereign country. Sabri said that he does not think that anyone should enter other countries and tell us how we should rule our country. He said that we love our country more than anyone else. That is why we are in our country. We should not be directed by anyone else as to how we should conduct our affairs.

Sarcasm on Nazi honor also

Sabri also took a dig at Trudeau over the honor given to a former Nazi soldier in the Canadian Parliament. He said the Canadian Parliament had given a warm welcome to anyone with past ties to the Nazis during the Second World War. This is questionable and we have dealt with this in the past. He said- "I am not surprised that sometimes PM Trudeau comes out with outrageous and proven allegations."
