Dead bodies are scattered on the ground outside the hospital. The reporter counted the dead bodies at Sikandrarao CHC in Hathras. 95 dead bodies are scattered here. Apart from this, Etah CMO Umesh Tripathi said - 27 bodies have been brought to Etah from Hathras so far. These include 25 women and 2 men. There was a crowd of more than 20 thousand people in the satsang.

After the accident, the injured and the dead were somehow loaded into buses and tempos and taken to the hospital. CM Yogi sent Chief Secretary Manoj Singh and DGP Prashant Kumar to the spot. A team of ADG Agra and Aligarh Commissioner has been formed to investigate the causes of the incident.

Why did the stampede happen?

The satsang had ended. People were leaving together. The hall was small. The gate was also narrow. There was a stampede in the race to get out first. People fell on each other. Most of them were women and children. Due to this, more than 150 people were injured.

CM Yogi took cognizance

UP CM Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the horrific accident. He has expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and the injured. CM Yogi has instructed all the officials to reach the spot and expedite the relief work with immediate effect. Instructions have also been given to provide proper treatment to the injured. On the instructions of CM Yogi, a committee has been formed to investigate the incident. A committee of senior officers of Aligarh division will investigate the entire matter. In this committee, a committee has been formed under the chairmanship of ADG Agra and Commissioner Aligarh.

Stampede due to suffocation

IG Shalabh Mathur has told that there was less space in the satsang program but the crowd had become very high. Due to the heat and weather, many people suffocated under the pandal and due to this there was a stampede. Arrangements for the treatment of the injured have been made in different hospitals. Those who are seriously injured are being sent to big hospitals.

Ministers, Chief Secretary and DGP are reaching

CM Yogi has written on his X account that in the accident in Hathras, the concerned officials have been instructed to conduct relief and rescue operations on a war footing and provide proper treatment to the injured. Ministers in the UP government, Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary and Sandeep Singh have left for the spot. The Chief Secretary and DGP of the state have been directed to reach the spot.

27 bodies reached Etah

Etah SSP Rajesh Kumar Singh has said that after the stampede in the satsang, the bodies of 27 dead have arrived in Etah Hospital so far. These include 23 women, 3 children and 1 youth. Efforts are being made to identify everyone, and the relatives of the deceased are also being contacted.
