Some relief to taxpayers

Middle class again disappointed

The middle class had high hopes about the change in income tax slabs, but it has remained untouched by the budget speech of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Self-reliant plan in defense, 5G spectrum auction will be held this year

For Defense Sector, Finance Minister said, 25% of the Defense R&D budget will be opened to industry, startups and academia along with Defense R&D. Private industry will be encouraged to design and develop military platforms and equipment in collaboration with DRDO and other organizations through the SPV model. In defense, 68% of the capital procurement budget will be earmarked for domestic industry in 2022-23 (up from 58% in the previous fiscal).

Big announcement for farmers

In the budget, the Finance Minister said that farmers will be given digital service, a campaign to promote the production of oilseeds will be started. Apart from this, chemical free natural farming will be promoted across the country. Its first phase will be started within a radius of 5 km along the banks of the Ganges. In the current financial year, food grains worth Rs 2.37 lakh crore have been procured from farmers under MSP. The Finance Minister said that we have decided to declare 2023 as the year of coarse grains.

Government will start digital currency
