Therefore, according to the Hindu Marriage Act, marriage with both women is invalid. When proved guilty, the accused can be sentenced to 3 months jail under the Child Marriage Prevention Act 1979. Not only this, when proved guilty under the Indian Penal Code, the accused is also likely to be sentenced to life imprisonment, if there is no sex with him. As a minor girl it will be considered as rape.
