Ram Navami is being celebrated across the country today. In view of this, security has been tightened in entire Jharkhand. Tight security arrangements have been made where there are sensitive areas. Police is conducting a flag march in the state capital Ranchi. The government has directed the superintendents of police of all the districts to remain alert.

Ram Navami is being celebrated across the country today. In view of this, security has been tightened in entire Jharkhand. Tight security arrangements have been made where there are sensitive areas. Police is conducting a flag march in the state capital Ranchi. The government has directed the superintendents of police of all the districts to remain alert.

Adequate security forces have been deployed in sensitive districts like Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Giridih, Chatra and Hazaribagh, an official of the police headquarters said. He said that the districts have been asked to install CCTV cameras at important places for better surveillance.

Security tightened in city after beating up two people

Giving further information about this, he said that after two people were thrashed at Karbala Chowk on Friday, security was tightened in the city and their bikes were set on fire. Security has also been beefed up in Khunti after the Central Ram Navami Mahasamiti announced a procession, officials said.

Ranchi Deputy Commissioner appeals to celebrate the festival in a peaceful manner

Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan said that the district administration is closely monitoring the Ram Navami celebrations. Any rioter who intends to disturb the public peace will be dealt with strictly by legal means. He also appealed to the people of the capital to celebrate the festival in a peaceful manner.

Recently, there were reports of violent clashes between two communities from the district. Lohardaga Deputy Commissioner Waghmare Prasad Krishna said civil and police officers have been deputed at all important places. He said magistrates have been asked to take strict action, if necessary, to maintain peace in Lohardaga town.

Drones and CCTV cameras will be monitored

Palamu Deputy Commissioner Jatashankar Choudhary said that the Ram Navami procession would be monitored with the help of drones and CCTV cameras. In view of the demands of various Ram Navami puja committees and political parties, the state government has extended the timing of the procession till 10 pm.
