Ind vs Aus / Tim Paine calls Ashwin 'd**khead' while sledging him, video goes viral

Australia captain Tim Paine was caught on stump mic calling India's Ravichandran Ashwin 'd**khead' while sledging him on the last day of Sydney Test. "Can't wait to get you to Gabba...Ash," Paine said, to which Ashwin replied, "Just like we can't wait to get you to India...it'll be your last series." "At least my teammates like me, d**khead," Paine replied.

Cricket Desk: Team India showed great courage on the final day of the third Test against Australia to eke out a draw. Hanuma Vihari and Ravi Ashwin blocked and blocked and just blocked for the last 44 overs of the day heroically keeping the hosts at bay. Australia threw everything at the duo but the Indian batsmen didn’t deter and drew the Test which looked highly unlikely at stumps on Day 4.

No wonder Australia were frustrated and it was visible on their skipper Tim Paine as he once yelled at Ravi Ashwin in the final session. Rather as time went on, the players on the field got even more irked with the blockathon from the batsmen. During the heroic partnership, Ravi Ashwin pulled out at the last moment while Nathan Lyon had almost bowled a delivery and this is when Paine tried to get into the batsman’s head.

The Australian skipper talked about the Gabba Test stating that he is excited to take on Ashwin in the final game of the four-match series. “Can’t wait to get you to the Gabba, Ash,” he said. Ravi Ashwin had already taken a lot and finally, he decided to respond saying that he is excited to take Paine on in India and told him that it will be the last series of his career. “Can’t wait to get you to India, it’ll be your last series,” Ashwin replied.

But then Tim Paine lost his cool and called the Indian off-spinner di**head. He also took a dig at Ashwin over his IPL contract. “At least my teammates like me, di**head. How many IPL teams wanted you when you asked every single one of them?” Paine said.

Indian batsmen’s resilience

As far as the fifth day’s play is concerned, Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant first batted superbly. Both of them got to their half-centuries with the latter missing out on his half-century by three runs. But they got out at the wrong time for India. However, Ravi Ashwin and Hanuma Vihari had other ideas as they dropped anchor and heroically batted out 259 deliveries adding 62 unbeaten runs with the game eventually ending in a draw.
